Democratic candidate: Keith Mundy
I’m running for Congress in the Ohio 5th Congressional District to bring positive change to Ohio. Several Republicans who voted against the CHIPS [Creating Helpful Incentives for Producing Semiconductors] and Science Act are taking credit for the bill’s support for tech hubs, many of which are devoted to energy and environmental issues. All but four Ohio members of the U.S. House backed the bill. GOP Reps. Jim Jordan, Warren Davidson, Brad Wenstrup and *Bob Latta voted no after House Republican leaders and Trump urged their members to oppose it.The law was one of the major accomplishments of President Joe Biden’s first two years. And as they did with the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, GOP lawmakers who opposed the legislation are now cheering its benefits. Bob Latta voted against these bills and is now out taking a victory lap through the district as if he voted and supported these bills.
Republican candidate: Incumbent Bob Latta is the Republican candidate for District 5 and was first elected in 2007. https://ballotpedia.org/Bob_Latta
